When it comes to working with Basketball athletes, we need to consider the fact that we can't train these individuals like any other athlete. Basketball players need a detailed strength program which won't effect their shot, but give them the ability to play through contact on offense. We also want to increase their lateral quickness so they can play lock down defense and develop first step explosiveness so they can get a jump on defenders on offense. Many hoopers also want to increase their vertical jump, so taking our athlete through proper plyometric & strength training progressions is important for long term success, and injury reduction.
